EOV by the delegation of Ukraine following the vote on Russia-sponsored draft resolution on Syria

Ukraine voted against the resolution proposed by the Russian Federation because of the following reasons.

We simply cannot agree with a tactics that aims to divert the attention from the solid and meaningful draft resolution that could have relevance on the ground and help stop Aleppo massacre.

This document hardly mentions the devastating developments in Aleppo, which is cynical, given the gravity of the situation in this symbolic Syrian city.

We also strongly condemn this attempt to put for a vote a draft resolution that has never been discussed in the Council.
